I watched all 6 movies back to back and the do flow very well together and it does tell a pretty epic story.

Lets be honest Lucas takes more credit for the original when he didnt edit it, he had it edited as a documentary style of editing but 3 others turned it into the high energy pop corm epic.

interesting comment about being disconnected. I think a lot of people starting wondering that since '97 when Greedo shot first. Lucas didn't get why so many people like Han Solo's character and why him shooting first was a small but defining characteristic. That one little change sabotage all that.
What I don't get is why he doesn't do like other directors and release two version - the original and the director's cut. Problem solved - nuff said

@alienadin Everything these 2 said about Lucas is absolutely spot on. Whenever somebody has the presence of mind to criticize Lucas and call him to task on the bad decisions he's made over the last 14 years, it's so typical for people to come out of the wood work and say things like, "Shut up, Lucas is awesome! Shut up, they're his movies and not yours! Shut up and get a life! Shut up, Lucas doesn't have to take crap from anybody!" and blah blah blah blah blah....
