  • I like your views on web comics. I'm producing one and trying to decide the best way to go about it.

  • Thanks.

That's coool. I hope that goes well. I'm trying to get a comic made and I might do it as a web comic.

  • how much do u think comics/manga sould cost?

when u make ur comic how much will it cost?

  • Well if it's the one I'm working on now it will probably be between 30-75 pages. So considerably longer then the standered 23 page comic. I'd probably charge 2.00 for it.

  • i see

and will ur comic come in volumes one day or standered long issues ?

  • Well if it ever made it past 1 issue. Then yes it'd be released in trades.

  • The comic book stores can sell cards. Gamestop sells microsoft points. other retail stores sell itunes and rhapsody cards... People, for som reason, do not want to pay subscriptions or buy points with their credit cards online. so they buy membership or points or gift cards.

  • @blowshimselfupdude i think another reason the comics are not making much money is because that the up serge of manga

  • Maybe the comic companies can give people comics for free. It would be great if they "gave away" important, essential spiderman episodes for free, so that people easily could understand the basics of the comic.

  • I just subscribed to Marvels digital comics thing but I tried to start reading ghost rider and they seem to only have issue #27 of the jonny blaze one and the first issue of danny and then jumps to 93. And hulk it goes from 1 to 20 and then jumps to 130 something. Kind of pisses me off.

  • yea and it would help the enomcy because people would buy it more. but i still would rather read the old way.

  • Marvel does ahve a subscription model that is cheaper than 99 cent comics but I dont think thats the way to go. Ive heard people suggest that they should have hired the digital preservation guys who scan the weekly releases and upload them illegally to work for marvel. Then put the books out free because the readership of illegal dl comics is huge compared to actual sales. Then just sell advertising in those free comics.

  • I love the Comics on CD idea Marvel did.

I got 4 of them and they're awesome.

Just wish they released Thor the complete collection.

  • actually, you can dl comics for free...if you like them, buy the trades ^^

  • Sounds great. You should go for it. I think web comics are the best way for independent artists to get their work seen. I'll send you a video of some of my artwork. Let me know what you think.
