  • I own a T500 .. Specs are roughly the same as your T400 just a dual core at 2.53. I play games all the time with no issue. I cant run a few more demanding games at max resolution, but it sure as hell gets the job done. mw2 runs pretty good.. so unless your super picky about running every game you play at maximum resolution.. this a pretty damn good portable gaming device, despite its actual intended use.. which is to get work done, not dick around.

  • Sure the T400 can, but it doesn't necessarily equate to it should. I've noticed there are a number of freeze ups graphically when playing stuff on hulu, which is quite a ways a way from being as resource heavy as a game, so who knows

  • i see a Dell Inspirion in the background....

  • haha yes, that is my personal computer, my Lenovo is going to be a strictly school computer

  • my t400 comes with mcafee antivirus trial version, which has expired long time ago(never renew).. i discover that mcafee actually make my computer slow for certain exent, though i dunno y. Thinking of changing antivirus, i'm glad to hear some recommendations from you.

  • a good permanent (self updating, no fees) completely free anti virus program is Avast Anti-virus home edition. AVG and Panda are ok but they have lots of false positives. (Avast does to but not as many as AVG and Panda). When you uninstall mcafee remember to go into the C: drive -> program files and delete the "McAfee" folder in there for a more complete deletion (uninstall with the uninstaller first).

  • Integrated is good enough to play Torchlight. That's all I need.

  • the reason y ur T400 sucks at gaming is cuz it has integrated graphics (not discrete graphics). T400 laptops equipped with ATI 256MB are decent game performers.

  • Thanks for informing me on the sleeve...i forgot about the battery being to big. Just cancelled my order online :p

  • That is true. Thanks for your info! I'm just going to use headphones or a small pair of speakers so I don't think the sound card will make that big of a difference so I'm probably going t o stick w/ the T400!
