Plasticville Upclose

Come see close up details of America's vintage Christmas village: Plasticville. These vintage toys are (for the most part) almost 60 years old. For me, Christmas wouldn't be the same without spending time in this wonderful city, frozen in time... a much simpler time before big malls when life was slower and small towns were alive with businesses and activity. In this video, I have tried to focus on small close up scenes. These buildings have incredible detail.

By the way, some people may not realize that these buildings snap together and get stored in their original flat boxes. In fact, a vintage. Plasticville building loses its value if it's glued together.

After watching your video again I noticed a dark red building that looks like a theater.Did plasticville have a theater or is this a different brand building? If so what is it? I really like it.

@yeksun Very good observation! The Lyric Theater was a "Bachman Plus" glue together model kit . (If interested, you can Google that). I think it fits in well too, even though It's actually an HO scale building and not part of the vintage snap together Plasticville collection fron the 50's and 60's.

I have enjoyed all of your plasticville videos. I wish I could move right in. To plasticville that is.It reminds me of simpler times. I will deffinitly expand my plasticville collection this year.Have fun.

nice video, i just bought some plasticville buildings today from an antique shop. they're really nice for any model railroad.
