My update for the end of week 2 of the New Years Resolution Contest/Challenge. I lost 4 lbs this week by eating about 1300 calories and exercising about 4 times per week. My total weight loss at the moment is 15.4 lbs

This week is all about JUST DOING IT. We're almost half way through the challenge so we have to work hard now! Set exercise and eating goals and STICK TO THEM. No matter how hard it feels, we are all in control of what we eat and we can all force ourselves to exercise.

Please give ideas and suggestions for the challenge!

Add me on yahoo messenger, I'm bye_bye_belly (for the NYRC challenge)

  • Hi! I understand you so much, loosing weight isn't a matter of eating less or exercising, or at least not only that. It would be so easy if one day people with weight problems just wake up ad say "ok from now eat less and exercise more",unfortunately is not so,the real problem is understand how we got that far, what represent food for me?until you deal with this you can do all the diets in the world and will not work.Lose weight means being aware, ask yourself "why I let food control my life"?

  • Wow! Congrats on the weight loss! And I feel you when it comes to looking to far into the future. I don't want to do it because when I think about the astronomical amount of fat that I have to lose to get to my goal I start thinking bad thoughts.. thats why I love focusing on 1 weigh in at a time. Just try to peg 3 - 4 lbs of loss every time. I also suffer from Binge Eating Disorder so I understand where you're coming from. You got ths!

  • good job!!!

  • This week I gained 3 lbs., so I'm back to 185 lbs. Eeeek! I'm going in the wrong direction. Starting Friday, I am going to do a 1500 cal, exercise, and support program.

  • @FedUpWFat If you diet and exercise safely it is medically SAFE for your body to lose between one to two pounds per week. Losing more than that and you can almost bet the farm that any weight loss will come right back plus some. Or, if you have a LOT of weight to lose, sure, in the beginning you'll lose more weight weekly, that'll slow down the closer you get to your goal. But 2-3 pounds of loss/week is faster and greater than average, and generally more than recommended as healthy.

  • Ok, i'm just gonna do it. I started exercizing only today (i know, i should have started monday but i'm stupid) and i'm sticking to my 1500 cals a day. I will try and exercize everyday cause i already lost 2 days of exercizing. I'm not gonna ruin it with my own hands again, I really want to change.

  • @FedUpWFat 5 6 i mean lol
