@mattarmani Not necessarily. ADT installs many different brands of security systems, including this one (note that ADT does not make security systems -- they only install, maintain, and monitor them). So it really depends on which brand system they install.

@buhaw12 ADT doesn't monitor you. They out source that to someone across the country in there basement.

As for whether 911 is dialed before or after calling the responsible party, that is completely up to the alarm company and the user. It is commonplace with home alarms to call the homeowner prior to dispatching police (for burglary signal), but to dispatch the fire department (for a fire signal) prior to calling the homeowner.
