Nanci Sargent was a charismatic woman with a very generous heart. She loved life and the countless friends who helped her celebrate it. When doctors at Cedars-Sinai Medical Canter diagnosed Nanci with ovarian cancer, her daughter and my dear friend, Kelli Sargent, started a nonprofit organization to raise money and awareness for Nanci's life threatening disease.
Since the inception of run for her® (www.runforher.com) in 2005, I have been a team captain for this annual 5K Friendship Run/Walk, now sponsored by Cedars-Sinai. ABC7 team, please help me pay it forward to the Women's Cancer Research Institute. I want to help find a simple test for ovarian cancer, a.k.a. the "silent killer." Do you know the symptoms?
