A lot of you will know this track by Jimmy released as a B-side on Soul label 35022 in June 1966 of "What Becomes Of The Brokenhearted" and later August in the UK, TMG 577. John

  • I havn't got my motown collection nowadays and I've not known the tube long either so what a treat to find this Gem' My version of what becomes of the broken hearted had this as the flip-side but I beleive my mates at the time had a different recording. Thanks for the memory.

  • Yes, the original single had this track, but I believe it was later re-released with a different "B" side, they used to do that, Motown was very unique in that the "B" side would often sound as good as the "A" side, that why I like to add some of them to my collection on here, maybe someone who listens to them all today will find they haven't heard one before, "The Magic Of Motown" I hope :-)

  • yes there where diferent pressings with 2 different versions, between a.r.p. pressing plant and monarch pressing plant also rca custom pressing plants out of indianapolis and hollywood . i" guessing one plant got sent the odd duplicate masterto master a set of plates off of possibly?
