I was most curious about how border collies "use physical stimulation in herding" as I've been herding for over five years and never seen herding described in terms of physical stimulation. Turns out this video has nothing to do with herding, just routine information that Border Collies are active dogs who need physical activity to be good pets. The video is insufficient in that area. Border Collies need more than physical activity, they need mental challenges, to use their brains.

What is the proper way to mount a dog?

Wow. This entire "Expert Village" series on border collies and herding is remarkable for how really really poor it is. The poor dog "trained" by this "expert" is overweight, and shows not a single herding behavior, and the "expert" shows a stunning level of ignorance of what is involved in herding.

Actually, that isn't herding. Border collies have a strong prey drive and they have a desire to chase those objects, not herd. Remember, they instictually herd ANIMALS, not cars or children. They can, and will, make the distinction.
