We leave Tekong for a moment and follow Douglas and Dudley on their weekend excursions. Besides their renewed appreciation of non-Army food, they become more aware of the difference between soldier and civilian.

@cyberpioneertv Why does it took only 7-8 weeks not 2 years?
My97Destiny 1 month ago
@My97Destiny Full time national service is still about 2 years. This series only shows the first phase of training - Basic Military Training. Hope that clarifies!
cyberpioneertv 1 month ago
@cyberpioneertv So it's BMT - 9 weeks NS - 2 years.
My97Destiny 1 month ago
@My97Destiny Yes. There are variations depending on your Physical Employment Status and your NAPFA results. For example, obese recruits go through a 19-week BMT.
cyberpioneertv 1 month ago
@cyberpioneertv If my NAPFA test is above average so it's 9 week BMT?
My97Destiny 1 month ago
@My97Destiny it's a combination of your NAPFA results and your Physical Employment Status (PES), but those who get a Silver or Gold award in their NAPFA and PES A or B1 will have a 9 week BMT. Those who are PES A or B1 and get Bronze or below do 8 + 9 weeks. This information is correct as of 4 Feb 2012, so keep checking iprep[dot]ns[dot]sg to get the latest updates on preparing for National Service.
