Unlike the other clones(like Alany), this Syma clone is pretty impressive. It features durable plastic blades which are similar but a tad longer than those blades on the Walkera 5#6 palmsize coaxial. It also has a flybar system similar to that of the Lama V3 coaxial heli. This has to be one of the best 40bucks purchase!

  • Also my unit starts throttling byitself and some time it does not turn off even if i dont give it any throttle?

    Can you help me out?

  • It looks like you have a defective unit. I picked up one for my friend recently and it had the exact same problem you described. Headed back to the mall and demanded for an exchange. I requested to personally pilot the new unit at the mall. It didn't fly as smoothly as the first one I bought but heaps better than the defective one.

  • what exactly is the difference between the SYMA brand name one and the ALANY brand name one?

  • The Alany one replicates very closely to the original micro mosquito from RadioShack, it has round hoops for both top and bottom rotors. The syma one follows the Esky Lama Coaxial design - 4 pair of blades with a flybar for top rotor. -Terence

  • well i know, but as far as performance goes, is there a difference?

  • The Alany one moves fwd slower and is harder to maintain a straight path. But I'm not sure whether all the Alany ones are the same since my experience could be an isolated case due to inconsistent QC of these clones. I'm more comfortable with controlling the Syma one.

  • Cool mosquito heli. Nice handling

  • really? sound like transform orginal sereis song transformer robot in disguise first song

  • Nice music! LoL!!! (Pink Panther music).

  • The Syma will keep it's power on for a few seconds after you release the throttle - I assume this is so that it will descend gracefully. Is this what you are seeing?

The tail rotor is not for stability, just for flight control - raising (go forward) or lower (go back) the tail.

  • I just got one of these for christmas. Does the tail rotor spin all the time for hovering or only when you move the direction control forward or reverse?

  • ok thanks. theres like a radio shack model, blade runner model, syma model, and a alany model, but im pretty sure i want the syma one.
