@Setenza13 But what's the value of a world view that is based on false premises? It's doomed to misguide the person holding it, to corrupt their thinking because they have to, do they want to keep 'cherishing' their view.
Ideas that are demonstrably false don't have any use and thus no value. They only produce lies and bad decisions that could have been avoided.

I generally disagree with McKenna, but this a brilliant clip

@SuperSabaca it's everything in modern western culture, the division, "the game," everything is a fucking game, from business to human rights to these fake politricks, to personal relationships, is all a competition to be above someone else or 1up someone. And denial of it is part of the game apparently. U've got all this division btw genders, races, religions, nations, etc, plus the personal games....

@InvisibleMan542 Can you elaborate on your last sentence about the "mind fuck" with an example? I'm not calling you out, you just made me curious. Thank you!

My biggest issue with relativism is this, it passes as "philosophy" these days, instead of what it really is, lack of common sense. People use it as a tactic to get around having to work on themselves, or having to admit to their own faults... Now here's the mind fuck of it, in the name of PCness, people are willing to take responsibility and beat themselves up for things that are beyond their control, yet, when they are actively implicit in something, they don't wanna own up to it.

Relativism is a new age philosophy of self-deceit, if there is no objective reality, then y don't people go jump off the empire state building? I mean, if they BELIEVE they can fly, they don't have anything to worry about, right?

good but best at the end.

The Truth is where it's at! I like to ask questions to uncover the "strong" foundations that so many of the current beliefs are based on.

@Ollyoxenfree1 It's called Trialogues at the edge of the millenium. This is an excerpt from the end of tape three. It says the name of the talk at the beginning of the video.
