Movie Description - Though white laborer Richard Loving (Timothy Hutton) and his African-American girlfriend, Bean Jeter (Lela Rochon), want to marry, it's illegal for them to do so in 1960 Virginia. With a child on the way, they wed in Washington, D.C., then spend years struggling to be allowed to live in their hometown of Central Point. This moving drama is based on the true story that led to the 1967 Supreme Court decision ending the ban on interracial marriage.

I live in the US. We elected our first EVER non-white president and a lot of white people lost their minds. Why? Because they don't want a black president. Shyt they don't even want a black boss or a black neighbor for that matter. When he was running for office all those things that you said we should get over and let sleeping dogs lie started to come out. It's far from over. If it wasn't for the LAWS these people would have us in shackles. And you want me to get over that, lol.

I don't think you've read the Bible. The Old Testament (which is mostly the Torah) had slaves because reality was there were slaves. It's history. An eye for an eye is found in many cultures, most famously the ancient Hebrews, but it's even in the Code of Hammurabi. However Jesus' Sermon on The Mount basically refuted that whole concept. "Turn the other cheek" is what Jesus taught,not "eye for an eye"...So moot point about "Christians."I would address the general population and not get specific.
