The Mormons, who are leading this campaign in Maine, were one of the main campaigners against inter-racial marriage too. Apparently they still 'discourage' it.

Funny to because they also practice polygamy something right-wing extremists group up with homosexuality when polygamy is totally a religious thing having to do with "Gods" comandment to populate the earth ;)LOL

And they used to marry 12 year old girls (who, of course, had no say in the matter). The polygamy, the child brides and the arranged marriages were all justified using examples from the Old Testament - such as Abraham.


maybe The Right-Wingers should be facing of against each other since everything they "say" they don't agree with today is something they use to support so when I religious media person says gay Marriage will lead to Polygamy he is really slaping himself in the face cause his beliefs and bible support that lol wow these people are actually tearing themselves down half the time

You made my eyes tear at 04.50 and on.. it is so true and it's something that people forget about so quickly! I am a very obese woman and get my share of abuse, though it is not a "hate crime," so to speak. But the looks and laughs hurt, keeping me from wanting to go outside as often as I'd like.. I can't imagine ppl wanting to physically harm or kill someone for whatever they *are*. So sad!! Great video, really good.

Oh sweet heart I know what you mean believe it or not people use to make fun of me when I was younger cause of my weight and it caused me to have so many problems and my weight was constantly going up an down cause i was either to big or to skinny. Discrmination is everywere in this country and it invloves many things from having big ears to being a big person and it has to stop. Just remember something hun YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL as long as you are comfortable with yourself others do not matter ;)

As I black british gay man I haven't forgotten what it is like to be discriminated against. So therefore I battle on both fronts in asserting my right to be treated as a human being. I'm sorry to hear what's happening in the States. I believe things will change eventually but unfortunately it may take some time. People should not become despondent and battle weary. There's a long way to go but be not detered from the path of equality.

Maine will certainly have at least one legally married gay couple moving into the state. My husband and I have built a house there, and will be vacationing there for a while. We plan to move from Boston to Maine permanently in a few years. Rich you are welcome to believe what you want, and I could care less about that. But when you try to take our marriage away from us, you become the enemy of love. That is not the action of a civilized person.
