This is another situation of pure luck as many others before at several of the Baja SCORE races "spectator hotspots" As we observed it during the years, it is not the question "IF'" but "WHEN" will another tragic accident involving spectators like at the California 200 in USA occur and this time in Mexico at a SCORE race.
In that case we got to say, despite the fact this is a race / competition a driver should always be in control of his vehicle (including slowing down). Even in video the visibility is good looking down the course so visa-versa the driver should see spectator wandering into his path. Does not sound like he backed of the throttle just a bit.... Don't tell me the driver calculated he will pass him that close. This is way to tight for comfort. That spectator walks 2, 3 steps a little faster he get's "waxed'. Makes on wonder: how much is a win or good position worth.....
