Meet our friend Maria. We've known Maria and her family for 18 years. When we heard about her accident (in which the driver was killed, and Maria is not expected to walk again), we were stunned, and we wanted to help in some small way.

You may remember Maddie, the sweet little 7 year old from our "We Are the World" video, who was struggling for her life in the advanced stages of cancer. Thousands of you prayed for her, and her cancer is now in remission! Call it coincidence or call it a miracle -- we believe your prayers and the massive number of cards and letters she received helped her through. We'd like to do the same for Maria. Well, who knows, what could have happened if...But I think, even without Youtube, they would be more or less the same persons, because they would have been educated in the same values. Their 5 brothers aren't on Youtube, and I don't believe they are fighting all days.
