Freelancer-Destroy the Rheinland Fleet

I was testing my new tools for recording and thought I'd make my first vid one for freelancer. Anyway, Freelancer as many of you may know, is an old game but it never gets old to me.

Anyone with half a brain can see my strategy for this fleet-Gunships first, then the cruisers. Follow up with the fighters, and finish with the biggest of them all, the battleship.

Unfortunately the AI doesn't agree with me and before I can square off personally with the battleship, they blow it to pieces. Got a nice view of it exploding though.

You don't like it? Well make your own then if you think the original music and effects is better. I think it fit nicely in some places, personally.

I love this mission, and the most this part, The enemy fleet hove about 1 battleship, 4 cruisers, 6 fighters and ? gunships, I not reanember how many 3 - 6, well, this is strange for me that battleships and gunships are so week, armor the have good but fire power is a shame, ( the should double fire power of battleships, cruisers and gunships ).

huh. You must've been playing on a harder difficulty or something. I only counted 1 battleship, 2 cruisers, 2 gunships, and about 6-10 fighters.

Oh, meaby you have right, I was not playing in freelancer for so long (the game is not working), But I thought that there was more gunships, cruisers but less fighters, anyway, I saw your ship, thy did you not bought better one, there is a one space in British terytory where is battleship with better ship for sell, ( I olveis boughting this ship before this mission ), anyway, I still think that fire power of heavy units is a shame ( they are easy to beat ).

Actually I never bothered to search for one. When I was in Britonian space, I jsut wanted to get out of it as fast as possible.

They aren't the "bad guys" in this game..

They were took over by the nomads..just like the japs and the american systems..

vanilla freelancer was so unrealistic, much better with discovery mod, i got my own Rheinland BS and leader of the Rheinland Military on the UK server, pretty epic

you just need 2 take them from the rear, they cant shoot backwards
