In honor of the past Veteran's Day weekend, the Bruins invited Darren and Lori Jacobs, the parents of Lt. Charles Jacobs (currently serving overseas), to drop the ceremonial puck. For the past seven months, Charles has been in Afghanistan with the 182nd infantry of the Massachusetts Army National Guard.

Or better, "had" been. Unbeknownst to his parents, the Bruins brought him home on leave to join them at center ice and present them with the puck!

  • in the military, Chara would be the guy carrying the minigun

  • If I was facing #33 I would drop my stick, take off my pads, sign a release form, and calmly walk off the ice forever. I may be 6'4....but id rather stay alive then get that to the face...
