Either that, or as i think is more common, people are just dumb and uninformed. Under Bush the country went from a surplus to being in trillions of dollars in debt, the economy is terrible and people are struggling to make ends meet. Now Mccain is promising to continue almost all of the Bush policies and 42% of the country is supporting him! But hey on the other hand, if they elect Mccain they get a Radcal right winged psycho bitch so BONUS!

The near future might be good for someone who appeases dictators; Neville Chamberlain enjoyed a short period of high propularity, until several nations fell under Hitler. Then, he and supporters of Hittler, like Joe Kennedy in the U.S., fell quickly from favor and from responsibility, and real men served, bled, and died to save the world and U.S.A. from fire and slavery.
