Chasing Pavements ; A Nelena Story 1x05

Demi: *she sees Nicks reaction and laughs*
Selena: What?
Demi: Oh.. nothing..
Sam: *sees who Demi was staring at and notices that Nicks looking at Selena* Hmph. Selena, you stay away from Nick.
Selena: Uh, I dont want him. You can keep him for ever and always..
Sam: Uhm.. GOOD!
Selena : * she rolls her eyes*

They get in the bus and Demi sits next to Joe.

Selena: Gee thanks bus seat buddy.
Demi: Oh.. sorry xD
Selena: Its okay.. you two kids have a good time *she tries to act all parental with them and finds a two seater near the window*
Nick: *he takes a seat next to her pretending not to notice that shes sitting there*
Selena: Uhm. Excuse me? Why are you sitting here?
Nick: Its a free country isnt it?
Selena: Whatever *she takes out a letter and opens it and starts reading*
Nick: *he looks over her shoulder but she doesnt notice* *he thinks: David Henrie? Whos that?...*
Selena: *she reads the letter in her mind: Dear Selena hows life in California? Dont forget us.. well me back here in Texas. I hope you didnt meet somebody new in Texas. I love you. I always did. Ever since I met you. Write back soon Sel. David*
Selena: *she closes the letter and tries to hold back the tears*
Nick: Uh.. you okay?
Selena: Like you care..
Nick: Youre right.. I dont. Thanks for reminding me..
Selena: *she rolls her eyes and looks out the window*
Nick: *he hesitates to speak to her again* Im.. sorry..
Selena: *she turns around and looks at him* Huh?
Nick: For being a jerk a few months ago *he doesnt look at her*
Selena: Uhm its ok..
Nick: *he feels awkward and takes out his notebook and starts scribbling something in*
Selena: Uhm.. look, so I was thinking. Maybe.. we could.. compromise just for the project.. I need a good grade.. but after its over I hate you again.
Nick: *he doesnt look up from his notebook* Yeah.. sure..
Selena: *she rolls her eyes* Thanks for listening
Nick: So what made you change your mind?
Selena: About what...?
Nick: Your name. Like telling people it's actually Selena.
Selena: A couple of things...
Nick: Like?
Selena: Well I told Demi, and she said that she liked my name better than Amelia and well... other stuff.....
Nick: Alright. Fair enough.
Selena: So... I got the first assignment from the teacher... we just have to get to know each other. They're having this Camp Fire thing tonight... So we're supposed to share thing about each other...
Nick: *sarcastically* Sounds exciting.
Selena: I'm not too happy about it either, buddy.
Nick: By the way.
Selena: Yeah?
Nick: I call shotgun on the comfy bed.
Selena: Damn.
Nick: Yeah.. that's what happens when you're too slow.

They finally reach the camp and everybody gets off the bus. The teacher tells everybody to get with their Cabin buddies and partners for the project ready with their suitcases of clothes and stuff. Nick and Selena keep their distance. Once everyone meets up, they all head to the cabin.

Demi: How do you open the door?!
Joe: Oh! I know! ... OPEN SESAME!
Demi: *she rolls her eyes and says sarcastically* Oh Joe! You're such a genius!
Selena: *she looks at Nick* You have it right?
Nick: Yeah.. yeah.. *he takes it out and opens the door*
Demi: *she looks at Joe and then at Selena* Uh, since when were you two getting along?
Selena: We made a deal for the project. *she gets inside the cabin and plops on the bed* But once it's over.. I hate him.
Joe: *he raises an eyebrow* Sounds like a fun deal...
Nick: *he lies on the comfy bed* I'm glad I shotgunned this thing.
Selena: Yeah, yeah.
Joe: Demi, you can have the comfy bed.
Demi: *she blushes* Okay.
Selena: *she looks at Nick and rolls her eyes* Why can't you be a gentleman like Joe?
Nick: Just because.
Selena: *she throws a journal at Nick* You gotta journal in this everyday. Keep track of stuff..
Nick: *he groans* When will this end...

Does this mean Nick and Selena are starting to get along?
Or will something else come up and ruin it?
