The Linus Connection, a small charity local to Austin, Texas, is a Federal 501(c)(3) organization. All donations are tax deductible.
The Mission of the Linus Connection is to provide a handmade security blanket to every child who is in a crisis or at-risk situation in Central Texas. Linus Connection volunteers have made and donated over 40,000 blankets since 1999.
I started volunteering for The Linus Connection in 2002 and have donated over 230 blankets since then. I've served on the Board of Directors (and am doing so once again) and have maintained the Linus website since 2003. I learned to quilt because of The Linus Connection and volunteering still makes me feel like I can make a difference.
I vlog about handmade crafts every week as part of Talk To Me Tuesday (TTMT), a group of online friends sharing crafty show & tell each week via YouTube.
p.s. I had to work on Dec. 17, so uploaded my video on the 16th, then kept it as "private" until P4A time!
What an amazing vid!!! Thank you so much for letting me help out with a charity that has been an awesome outlet for me this year.

@twinkletoes121 Awesome! There's a lot of fabulous community to be had with handcraft charities, too, which is also a big bonus. :)
