@daddygoliat231 seeing as though your comment is 11 months old...yes even at 40 something he was still dominating...*sigh* sucks that he ended his career with an injury but honestly...i dont think mutombo would have EVER retired until something made him. it's just how beast he is

i agree. mutombo is still a great player and i think he's wasting his time at houston. i think he should join another team where he can actually get minutes

Before Yao was hurt last year Mutombo hardly got any playing time. Then Yao got hurt and Mutombo got at least 3 blocks a game, some games 5. He even scored about 10 points a game and double digit rebounds as well! Then Yao came back and he sat on the bench 90% of the time again. He can still play.

What a beast!! he's 40 years old and he still one of the best shot blockers in the NBA.
