  • 747 is proven worldwide for half a century w/ the best safety record in aviation history.

I feel safe in it whenever I travel.

  • The only thing i dont like is the the top cabin its too extened, makeing it look kinda ackward and out of place, I think Boeing should have gone back to the very first Boeing 747 shell, they made the top cabin flow with the rest of the plane, it was so sleek and beautiful, for the 747-8 all they needed to do was change the entior ,put in new engines and wing designs and there my freinds would be the sexeiest looking planee next to concord.

  • @3snowyman :)

  • @MynameisElliott True. But since the argument was about the new 747 model, I thought that I should just include the profits from the new aircraft out within the year. But yes, an overall profit would show the overall success of the company.

  • @3snowyman You need to just compare net profits of both companies, that's the only way to compare their sales fairly.

  • such a nice plane....

  • @MynameisElliott I was comparing the two to show that Boeing had more work to do. Building and marketing 2 aircraft is harder than just 1 aircraft. The A350 hasn't even begun testing yet. Has it even been built yet? But I added both 747 and 787 together because both aircraft have been put into service in the same time period with the A380. It was really a comparison between Airbus and Boeing in this year.

  • @3snowyman You can't compare A380 sales to 787 sales PLUS 747-8 sales. It isn't fair!

Just compare 747-8 and A380 sales, or 787 and A350 sales.

  • I went on a 747-400 Air New Zealand one to Rarotonga back in 2004, was surprised they were using one for only a 4 hour flight lol but it was nearly full with people.
