The Tendu is one of the fundamental steps of classical dance. Performing Tendu can be a fantasic exercise for strengthening the feet and lower legs if performed correctly so I have created this little video to give you some tips on how to perfect your Tendu.

  • @iRideiHorse lol I just started and I'm 16 I WISH I was 10! start NOW! don't wait, there are professionals who have started at 13! and probably many more who started at 10, try finding one that started at 16 lol

  • ok it's probly the result of genetics, but I can't pointe my ankle like the girl does at 0:52 it's almost like I have a bone missing in my ankle. I can't push it out that far to get the nice "dancer's arch" How can I work my ankle to get that pulled up feeling on pointe?

    Well, everybody's arch is different. It's just the way you were born. You can definitely strengthen them (if not improve them) by using a resistance band. They also strengthen your toes and ankles and I swear, perform miracles! Best of luck! :)

  • I would love to dance again, it's been years, I'm 35 but I am small for my age, and I seem to feel younger, gifted I guess, I have wide feet now, would you reccomend me dancing again? never been on pointe, but I have been told by a ballerina I have very strong feet and good arches any info would be helpful!
