Lors du Forum des 100 2006, Bertrand Piccard avait partagé dans un speech remarquable sa vision d'un avion qui pourrait voler autour du monde, jour et nuit, avec un pilote à bord, propulsé uniquement par l'énergie du soleil. Le projet Solar Impulse était né. Depuis, le prototype de l'avion a été construit. Il sera dévoilé le 26 juin 2009. Au Forum du 7 mai 2009, André Borschberg, le CEO de Solar Impulse (et l'autre pilote, avec Piccard) est venu raconter où en est le projet.
