Protestors rally against Orthodox Jews' chicken sacrifice

CROWN HEIGHTS - Protestors rallied against an Orthodox Jewish ritual in Brooklyn today that involves slaughtering chickens for Yom Kippur.

The custom, called kaporos, is a form of sacrifice performed before the Jewish Day of Atonement in which it is believed one's sins are symbolically transferred to the bird.

The Alliance to End Chickens as Kaporos is protesting the ritual, calling the treatment of the animals inhumane.

Some Orthodox Jews disagree with the protestors, and say that every effort is made to make sure the sacrifice does not hurt the chicken. They also claim the practice is a part of their religion and needs no explanation.

Jewdoo. It is only Christian guilt and Jewish propaganda that still manage to keep so many people ignorant enough to believe the Judaism is somehow different from all the other barbarian, idiot religions that practice blood sacrifice. Also what a creepy god who finds all that murder so 'pleasing'. @happosai27 It's interesting that you'd say that; the movement to end Kosher Slaughter in the US has essentially come to an end because the people advocating this would also have to accept the end of HALAL slaughter and they don't want to do that; that's the reason Kosher slaughter continues, so your analogy has wound up making another very good point, you low-life.
