  • Bro. Jim, Do you have any old records of Wally and Ginger Claxon singing live at the old Nazarene Campmeetings? I use to have a recording of them I recorded from a record that I had borrowed from an elderly man in our church. I would give a hundred dollars for one of thier live recordings and records. My how that coulple sang, and my how those folks shouted and worshipped. I would love for someone to put their recordings on youtube. This generation needs to experiance what those saints had!

  • Sorry, but I don't. I had a filling cabinet full of ree-to-reel tapes that was destroyed in the Florida hurricanes of 2004. Even lost my reel-to-reel recorders. Most of what I have left I am finding on some home recorded disks and a few 78s that are still playable.

  • Amen, and amen.

  • Rom 1:20-21 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:

21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.

    KJV

  • Amen...

When I in awesome wonder, consider ALL the world thy hands have made. Thy power throughout the universe displayed!

  • Mic 7:7

Therefore I will look unto the Lord; I will wait for the God of my salvation: my God will hear me.

    KJV

  • Oh, that's too bad! Had you ever heard of the Claxons? The recordings I had were from Nazarene Campmeetings back in the late 50s and early 60s. Most of them were recorded in St. Louis and Oklahoma City. The Album had a picture of Bro. Wally and Sis. Ginger on the front of it singing on stage at a campmeeting. They sang "Take This Whole World, But Give Me Jesus" with a choir accompanying them. They absolutely brought the house down! People got to shouting so loud you couldn't hear the singers.

  • Blessings, Lotis, Thanks!

  • Another beautiful gospel song - and your dad sings them so well.

  • Brother, if a recording was ever made of your father singing, it would most definitely endure for whatever parties who would have possession of his masterful voice.

Like during the time frames of1:40-1:58 for example.
