  • Every time they send update for it, something screws up like after I record my videos, when I play them back, the video is flipped horizontally.

  • whats the screen capture program called?

  • Screenium but I don't recommend it anymore.

  • when your using say between six to ten or so spaces is there a noticeable slow down or a sleight slow down? it looked like it was slowing down or choppy but thats probably just the vid

  • Yea the slowdown is because of the screen capture program I'm using tends to slow some things down...but when its off it runs fine...

  • yeah, it looks like it accually takes longer to switch while using spaces :/

  • i wanna win i-touch 4g

  • i got a macbook pro and this is one of the awesome things on it, but i don't see the point bothering to use spaces when i got exposé

  • Try it:

    /watch?v=VgkPq6-m9GI

  • yes yes yes i agree totally with u man Ubuntu is grate but OS X is better

  • Of course, you have to have the common sense that "if its community built, then it has to be community supported."

Did you seek any help? Google? Ask at UbuntuForms?

Most likely, you did not have compiz installed or its disabled for no 3d. Java, you have to install through the Symatic Package Manager. Package Manager gives you access to all the software you could need, and it allows for even noobyerness in the fact that its a one-stop-shop. You search, you get, no running around for EXE's.

  • Wow, virtual desktop. That must have been around on Windows and Linux for.... 6 years? I work with Windows since v2.4 and NEVER needed it. Tried it some times but uninstalled after testing it for an hour.

There is ALT-TAB for swicthing apps, what do I need virtual screens for? 2 or 3 monitors is a completely other thing and I would buy them if I had spare money. :-) But instead of moving my mouse to a screen edge and clicking on a smaller screen I rather press ALT-TAB once or twice.

  • For the last 6 years every year I tested the then "best" linux on my computer. Installation was a pain in the a... My graphics cards never worked in 3D mode, the systems always emulated something slow. I had to install dozends of packets.

Now at last(!) I have Ubuntu on my old notebook. It looks nice and is fast. But guess what? I cannot see any java website apps, although java is installed. They are just empty. So far for Linux for noobs. :-) I do not want to debug my OS, I wanna work with it.
