Maceo Blows The Roof Off Roppongi! Pt.2

(con'd from Pt.1) . . . The lead singer is dynamic Leon Daniels. Gloria Estefan-backing-vocalist, Lynn Mabry becomes involved upon being excited by Leon Daniels' moving performance. Soon, her bandmate, alto saxophonist Michael Paulo, too, joins in. At one point while this is going on, Maceo Parker can be seen, literally, sweeping the floor clean of thrown confetti with a broom and dustpan in hand. Once he is spotted and "called out," the roof proceeds to be blown off the club when a major battle of the saxes ensues between Maceo Parker and Michael Paulo. Easily recognized among the many musicians in the club are Shiela E., Sweet Charles Sherrell, Mico Wave and Tokyo luminary Zon Corleone. Freddy P. Knight happened to be in the club that night and caught it all as it is shown here with editing. A few glimpses around Tokyo's notorious night life district of Roppongi are shown, too, which help convey the atmosphere of that night. ENJOY THIS in sequence, Pt.1 & Pt.2!
