iPhone 3GS VS Nokia N97: A Detailed Comparison

June was a huge month for smartphones. Apple released their new iPhone 3GS and Nokia began shipping their N97 to the North America. Both phones are GSM models and therefore compete with each other in the eyes of the consumer. From price to features, the app store to the camera this video highlights the differences between the two devices allowing you to decide which phone is right for you.

Just a heads up, in terms of voice quality the phones both are very good and therefore didn't merit a mention in the video.

N97 is one of those devices that has every feature but at a limited level. Camera but 5MP, Video but VGA, Processor but 434mhz, touch screen but resistive, Nokia touch UI interface but not touch optimized, Symbian and app support but s60v5. It gives you everything but at such a limited constraint. I recently upgraded to iPhone 4S and I have to say the touch experience and functionality reaffirms my decision of switching to Apple despite 8 years with Nokia.

why nokia had to put a slow 434 arm 11 mhz processor on their flagship device?

3gs has a 600 mhz cortex a8, which is much better. Even nokia put a 600 mhz cortex in n900, which wasn't even their flagship. Why making the flagship even worse?
