I've assembled 64 of the greatest Guitarists from Seattle, Washington to Miami, Florida who specialize in everything from country to metal. They will be facing off in a 6 rounded tournament to decide the Greatest American Guitarist. I do not take credit for any musical content in this video.
Round 1
Jason Becker- Solo "Perpetual Burn"
Marty Friedman- Megadeth "Tornado Of Souls"

  • becker was a better player than marty and we may never know whos better today as marty has got much better since the cacophony days and unfortunatly jason hasnt held a guitar for nearly 20 years so we will never know

  • 2 great players even though jason hasnt played in years... but how good would he be if he would have not had his disease? thats like trying to compare someone to randy rhoads... marty has had more time to get better while jason has not. Nevertheless, I give it to jason for renewing the classical style and being a key founder in merging classical with metal.

  • Marty

  • @SamI124QRiley yeah, i always have mad respect for Jason and we all know hes a true genius, but original is Marty, by original, i mean his middle eastern or eastern sounds with strong bending

  • Jason becker vs Marty friedman = Chuck norris vs Chuck norris.

  • uuummm why is this here??/They played together. It makes no sense -_-

& they are different. No comparison, they both are amazing & number one. <3

  • i really can choose between these 2 guitar gods.

  • @walshy0001 yeah man but jason started to play when he was like 3 or 5...marty only started when he was 15,almost 16.i think.

  • @MrCobra285 Yip I would agree with you that they are on a par with each other. Fantastic together though!

  • @1madaboutguitar hum yeah,you're right about that.
