Sony Xperia S review by Dialaphone. Sony has started 2012 with a bang by buying Ericsson and releasing its first solo camera phone, the Xperia S. With a 4.3-inch HD screen and a 12 megapixel camera to boot, the newest Xperia smartphone packs some serious punch, making it a key player in the mobile phone market.

This Android Gingerbread handset comes with some of the latest mobile technology including Sony's Exmor R sensor so expect crisp, vivid photos even in low light conditions. There's also HD video recording at 1080p on offer and the new rapid shot feature allows you to take a photo in just 2.2 seconds. The built-in Reality technology produces vibrant colours to show off your pictures at their best and you won't be short of content sharing options as the Xperia S has NFC, DLNA and a microHDMI port on board. • wen does dis phone go on sale i want one

  • @Joseramirez0597 Hey there, you can register your interest for this phone on the Dialaphone website (it's under 'coming soon') and we'll send you more info about the release date of the phone as soon as we have it. Thanks, Espi.

  • whats the battery life?

  • @MrJmisztak Battery life was good on our model, we used a variety of resource heavy apps, browsed the web, captured video and played back multimedia and kept our Bluetooth and Wi-Fi on throughout, and it lasted an entire day. So not too dissimilar to the rest of the smartphone market.

  • HTC one takes only 0.7 seconds to boot up.

  • Great vid but the clear transparent belt at the bottom is the antenna !! :D

  • DNLA or DLNA??

  • Shes wrong by saying the transparent strip doesnt serve any purpose. You do know sony has incorporated a transparent antenna a core feature for all phones in there. Look it up!

  • I liked how she kept covering the 'Sony Ericsson' badge. I don't know why she didn't just say that it was a pre-release phone as the separation hadn't been finalised then.

  • 2:47 "this doesn't serve any purpose apart from looking good" wrong, its the antenna, the main component of a phone lol

  • its 342 pixels per inch dial a phone not 324!

  • I'm tempted but some of the new spoilers out on YouTube are showing phones with bigger screen but less surround. There's quite a lot of top & bottom with the Xperia S

  • wish the final product would come out with a monstrous battery life like the droid maxx 3,300 or so mah..what's this phone's battery power?
