The last game ever played at the Boston Garden, the Bruins vs the Montreal Canadiens on September 26, 1995. NHL Network cut almost an hour of the ceremonies out of their broadcast, I put most of them back from other sources including Youtube user sunanna49 and the History of the Bruins.

Yes it is. Wouldn't that be something if it were the actual one?

Who would have thought that Recchi, on the Canadians at the time, would win a cup with the bruins more than a decade later...

Oates, Neely and Recchi would have been an unreal line

i love this rivalry... it makes me so mad, happy, stressed, agravated and passionate. its much bigger then Celtics v sLakers, Sox vs Yankees or Pats vs (pick Jets, Dolphins, Colts, Giants or P. Mannings team).
off topic but i think the NHL should make the goal bigger. maybe add an inch or 2 on each side. goalies are now 6'5'' and up. the pads are much bigger and the goalies have no fear of the puck hitting them in the face / balls / an area without pads. what do you guys think>?

I was at this game, ironically enough was sitting right next to Reggie Lemelin...I have no idea why he was sitting with the common folk. lol...Everyone always talks about Len Bias, but you have to wonder if Normand's career wasn't cut short..I bet he would have put up amazing numbers in the NHL with a lengthy career..300 goals at least.

Best game I ever seen at the old Garden; A friend of mines father had a machine shop and had 1st row 1st balcony (right on center ice) seats. When I awoke that morning, little did I know I was going to see Brad Park slap in an overtime goal to beat The Quebec Nordiques in overtime to knock them ouy of the playoffs! I miss the old place, but the building had outlived its purpose.

I agree that Neely and Bourque were great Bruins, but right behind Bobby Orr has to be Phil Esposito. What Espo did in a Bruins uniform was unheard of in the NHL until he did them (a player scoring more than 60/70 goals in a season, moe than 150 pts season to name just 2). More importantly, without Phil Esposito, those Cup banners from 1970/1972 wouldn't be waving high in the banners. Phil Esposito should never be underestimated in Boston!

2:43:55, an image that will always live in my memory and should in any Bruins fan memory. Three of the greatest if not THE greatest Bruins ever. What a great shot of Neely, Bourque and Orr
