Yeah, adam1mc you're right. Worst case scenarios are third world countries like Nigeria and Indonesia. If you get carded or phished by one of these guys you better hope that your bank is sympathetic.

And what do you do when that person is in India.. or better yet.. Iran. How do you propose dealing with the issue then?
If all these people were in the USA or UK it wouldn't be any problem busting them But when they commit crimes using forged info and stolen account information, AND they are in a country that doesn't assist... what are you to do?

Now theres a lot of different laws I just don't follow online but phishing is by far the worst of them all. I think there should be more technology to tracking down the creator (hoster, writer w/e)of a site like this and their punishment is to be physically struck in anyway shape or form by anybody who has lost money online due to false claims ever. They should be hit continuously until either everybody gets their revenge, or... they die...

When do we get to tear these people a new arsehole? I'm just getting into this computer security stuff, having spent the last couple of years fixing peoples PCs and seeing more and more of this kind of crap. Even though it helps keep me solvent they utterly infuriate me - can I haz activism nao?
btw, I've found a guy who collects junk mail, you probly know him but what the hell - his url is junk dot mondochrome dot ca. Could be useful...
Sorry if this comes across as odd - I'm a bit drunk.
