Pork and Beans - Weezer Cover

For this week's upload I've taken a shot at the first single off of Weezer's 2008 "Red Album," Pork And Beans. Like many a Weezer song, the basics are simple and straight forward... which is why I think I enjoy figuring out their tunes ;-)

Anyways, I briefly attempted to try singing along with this tune. After quickly realizing that it was going to never sound decent, I opted to record an instrumental "vocal" track instead. The video actually has three tracks in it: The main rhythm and two "vocal" tracks to give the "singing" a bit more depth.

I hope someone enjoys it!

@ccarnucci - Thanks a bunch, Chris! I can't really write a decent original song like a lot of you seem to have no problems doing. But, occasionally, I'm able to record a quality cover :-) Weezer definitely has an eclectic selection of music to choose from. I'm sure you're bound to find more songs from them that you'd enjoy.

The audio was mixed with a free program called Audacity.

The picture-in-picture video was created using the free copy of Windows Movie Maker that comes with Windows XP. As is, Movie Maker doesn't have a built-in PiP effect. However, if you do a quick Google search you should come across examples of how you can add a custom XML configuration file to Movie Maker to kind of hack together the Picture-in-Picture effect.
