"Who will you be fighting for?" dedicated to the union leaders, and, with respect, to the many union members who decided to work normally.

  • fair pay for teachers? that would be a %50 cut at least in there pay and they should also have to pay into there own pension and not expect us to pay theres. during there 13 weeks holiday they should go into the real world for 1 week and see what a useless waste of space they would be in normal jobs where some common sense is needed. Some of the other 13 weeks should be hard labour and they should be hosed down with freezing water. people who do, do it, people who CANT, teach

  • Tee hee hee

  • That's absolutely ridiculous. You should support teachers and their absolute necessity. If you want to invest in your kids, you need to invest in their teachers.

  • So, Sherlock Holmes, you can't google teachers pay?

  • some say MPs are over paid for what they do, so do you want to try another group to compare yourself withinstead? sorry about spelling my English teacher was pisspoor at his job (but quite well paid)

  • whats this? a spot of cyber bullying by a teacher! answer the query please what is the starting salary for a teacher? a teacher with 5 years experience and a head Teacher? Any response other then to the question I am asking is proof that teachers are well paid in relation to other workers, but just want to feel their boots with more gold whilst keeping stum about what they actually get.

  • MP's. Why not try it yourself? (Except you actually have to know something - including how to spell - first.)

  • I note a few people who were on the march have posted here recently, I am assuming although I may be wrong they are in the teaching profesion, so why the reticents to let the parents of the kids you are suppose to be educating know how badly paid you are already? Could it be that life aint that bad but you just want to pretend it is to squeeze more dosh from the parents/taxpayers? name me another public/private sector worker who gets paid for 12 months work but actually works 9?

  • thats all fine and dandy except I would like to know what they earn now? I am assuming they are paid appalingly so cmon spill the beans how badly paid is your job bearing in mind you work 9 months of the year...is it a secret and we are not allowed to know?

  • I don't suppose teachers could consider having any further strikes on their inset days so parents of the children they are supposed to be educating can earn their living as well?
