  • @JordiLensink that was not only bassbone. that was tuba mostly =D that moment is really badass-)

  • @danielhoganmusic Actually, there are not supposed to be cymbals, just a tam tam blow. They do play the tam tam here but it's subdued, more as a cushion for the hammer, rather than letting it stand out.

  • @melwiv @EDGJZConglomerate however, notwithstanding the efforts of Mahler's hero to move ahead, this symphony does end with his defeat.... he was too depressive at that time...

  • There's so much that is positive in this movement. There's also an existential horror. That's life - and no one expressed it better than Mahler.
