We are governed by a republic (locally it's democratic free-market rule, BECAUSE we are watched-over by a 'republican' military---a military whose commanding leaders REPresent the American people ... i.e. it is 'owned' by us, but we have given full responsibility to the manager whom we elected and his assistant-managers whom we elected). @487shawn that is a view I agree with, but do not often see stated: Clinton being the best republican Walmart and Wall street could buy. He allowed the deregulation in tandem with the Bush-bourgeois. The two parties work well together blaming each other, yet promoting the same regressive debtor society that mobilizes wealth to the top profiteers, and debt to the wage slaves (service society).
