Bandleader Nick Luca has been a fixture of the Tucson music scene for over a decade.As a musician and engineer at Wavelab Studio in Tucson, Nick met Howe Gelb, leader of indie rock cult-fave Giant Sand. The open experimentation of Giant Sand and offshoots Friends of Dean Martinez and Calexico opened Nick up to the ethereal sounds of the Southwest. Soon Nick was recording with Howe, Joey Burns and John Convertino on a variety of albums with artists including M Ward, Calexico, Iron & Wine, Neko Case, Evan Dando, Giant Sand, Richard Buckner, Steve Wynn and many more.Desert Rock at its best.
