The judges were VERY lenient back in the show's beginning. In the 80s $25/100K Pyramid, they were downright sadistic.

If Asner had said "Sammy Davis, sometimes" on the '80s version of Pyramid it would have resulted in an immediate buzz wouldn't it?

Also, when the series moved to ABC, contestants HAD to guess the subject exactly on the nose.

This was the CBS version. When the series moved to ABC in May 1974, the use of hand gestures was a no-no.

It's interesting to note that Pyramids judging got more strict over the years & Password got more lenient over the years; somebody's got the whole thing totally mixed up. Anyway, the hand gestures I feel didn't give anything away here; it's not like Ed made a shirt or Lab equipment with his hands. The IRONED response I don't think should have add it since synonems didn't get accepted in the main game & not here. Pyramid is a tough show to judge, but it's worth it. The moment here gets 3.5 stars.

its not off, what it is she must of said "pressed" or somethin like that but the microphone didnt pick it up, so someone heard her and spun the trilon
