Fagwa Holi geets are sung on the month of Faagun culminating in the buining of Holika ( sister of Harnayakashyap) and celebrating the coming of the fourth incarnation of Vishnu - Narsimha. Half man and half lion Avtaar. This is one of the most joyous festivals in Fiji , with the singing of Fagwa and Chauthal songs, using gulaal and rang to sprinkle on each other. enemity with people are forgotten and enemies become friends on this day symbolising a new beginning. Bal Ram is one of the most prolific singer and is generally know as Fijis Bhajan King.

Great to get these Phaagwa Geets! This is what was popular in UP and Bihar 200 years ago, and it still goes on in our west indies, fiji, suriname etc...Songs about God and his leelas... Its a shame to see what is popular in music nowadays in Bihar and U.P. for holi.
