This is right after the Rebirth was activated, since we were so close to it, we took a lot of damage (thats why you see Haseo almost dying there). Haseo has a talk with his Epitaph: Skeith and finds his true self to win his last job extension, the Xth Form.

Now we can use guns :D

@eha1027 Actually, Skeith and Sora are one in the same somehow. When the player of the two went into a coma, skeith continued living in The World as Sora AI. which more or less was Sora, being the only one with his personality/memories due to "Haseo's" memory loss. He became the Skeith you battle in the .hack trilogy featuring Kite. He was then destroyed, his data shoved into Haseo's PC who just happened to be Sora in a few years. so basically, the white Haseo was Sora, just taking Haseo's form.

@KeeperOTDH2 By Azure Kite A.K.A Tri-Edge at that point and time. Then he discovered Raven/G.U and found out he was an epitaph user. The epitaph that chose him was Skeith since Skeith felt a form of a connection since he was the only one Skeith had put under comatose and got out of it, or didn't die while in comatose. Haseo didn't know it, but Skeith knew him and he knew Skeith. The .hack//G.U extras aren't necessarily canon with the manga which is the real story, They all explain the same story

@kyubifoxtrot But Haseo IS Sora, Sora was put under a coma when he was attacked by Skeith. He also had a case of amnesia and he was in a coma until his later years. Sora/Ryou/Haseo had no connection with The World/R:2 after the coma, until his friend recommended he try it out. Ryou then tried R:2 where he was Pk'd by multiple people. He met Ovan and Shino, joined the Twilight Brigade, and after Shino got pk'd and induced into comatose, he grinded on his own to reach level 133. Then he was pk'd
