I'm freeeee...for 1 week...then rebelling and skipping 1 week of uni to go to a medical convention! (that's if I pass my exams =/)

Here is the website for the convention I'm going to if you're interested in who will be there: http://convention2011.amsa.org.au/site/

Go to the Program tab and hover over Academic and then click Speakers! =)

if you're curious about second year med exams or have any questions about what you will learn, please feel free to ask. I had the following exams in 4 days:

1. Global health, models of healthcare (can't explain this type of exam) - written exam.
2. Human life cycle: embryology (intenseee), growth and developmental milestones, child/ adolescent psychology (not much), aging and its consequences
3. Endocrinology: Pathology, physiology and anatomy of the pituitary, hypothalamus, thyroid, parathyroid, adrenal glands and the gonads, infertility, contraceptive drugs, conception, gametogenesis, fertilisation, gestational diabetes etc.
4. Musculoskeletal: anatomy of the head, neck, upper and lower limbs, pelvis, back. Pathology: fractures, developmental disorders, osteomyelitis, metabolic bone disorders such as Pagets, Rickets, osteomalacia and osteoporosis, muscle contraction and types of muscle cells, muscular dystrophy, myotonic diseases, mitochondrial diseases, statin induced myopathy..and heaps more ._.

  • Hello ToothEnvy!!

I'm actually reading the HouseofGod at this moment!! I even have it lying in my bag next to me:):P I'm starting my med school in September (Masaryk Uni., Czech Rep.) so my questions to you are: when did you find out you wanna become a doctor? What subject do you find the most difficult so far?How much time do you dedicate studying every day?Do you wanna practise inAustralia or maybe abroad?I'd be very grateful if you could answer at least 1 or 2 of those, and congrats on finals!

  • @sophie8977

Hello Sophie! I will private msg you. Youtube has a comment word limit and it's frustrating =/

  • nice design ! : )

  • @AlirezaBehzadnia

    Thankyou heaps!! =))

  • what kind of doctor do you want to be???

  • @SuperstarPrincess16

Honestly I have no idea yet =( I will find out next year when I start doing my rotations at the hospital. I think by that time, I will have some idea about what I want to do. I do like surgery - everything about it fascinates me, but I also like the physician's role and diagnosing patients. I told myself once that I wish humans could live longer..then I could be everything =P
