The physicist sees two major trends in the world today: the first is toward a multicultural, scientific, tolerant society; the other, as evidenced by terrorism, is fundamentalist and monocultural. Whichever one wins out will determine the fate of mankind.

To end the risk of national or global conflict we people need radical changes. How radical? To the point we're able to wipe out border lines on a world map and delete the definition of 'country' or 'nation'. This is an extreme change but it's the only way to reach true peace. Unity will bring humanity as one and we won't need 'military' or 'defence force'. However if mankind continues as it is. This is impossible. And humanity will not see after the next few centuries on this planet.

You militants (Both atheist and christian) are the type of monoculturalist Dr. Kaku is talking about. Too busy trying to destroy your brother to see you are exact monster you say you are trying to combat.

Science and Faith/belief are not exclusives. That exclusivity/absolute thinking is a human construct designed by human ego. Let that go, worry about your OWN personal belief (and not others) and share in the science.

    Talking to you too, atheists.

You know the biggest problem of humanity? Ego. Not saying it's bad to have pride. But I'm saying it's bad to swell that ego and force others to carry it for you.

what happens when the first world can harness the power of the planet and don't need resources but don't share it with north korea and the middle east? you know it will happen, we'll be in utopia and we'll just stop socializing with the war like oil users. isn't this really the likely scenario that the "second class races" will just get left out to destroy themselves. i can't say it's a bad solution.

Type three civilizations would have the technology to find resources without the need to take from others. Wars are fought over resources, plain and simple. Type three races are transcendent from the rational you using (type zero). I recommend you watch this video again.

Power is like energy, it can only be transferred on. With no government large private companies would have most of the power. There would be an "economical hierarchy", where the majority of the population is overworked and underpaid and very few in high positions are insanely rich. Extreme capitalism.

I don't see this being any better than a socialist government taking from the rich and offering free healthcare, jobs, etc.

I respectfully disagree sir or ma'am. I believe we'll still need a military in case we come across a hostile alien race or something.

agree, except on the eu, because that is failing, so clearly it was just a transition. And terrorism might be a possible opposite to become planetary, but terrorism was created because of what we do to them.

At universities, idiot, where they teach you valuable things. You seem like a guy who has no education, who thinks he knows everything and doesn't know shit about what he talks. If you analyse what you're saying you might notice that it's mostly criticism about everything when you know nothing and you don't even justify your criticism, you're just a big mouth. You can keep wasting time here but i won't be dealing with fuckin' dipshits like you. Hope you die and have fun working at Mc.Donalds!

    Dear Professor Kaku,

With all due respect, "everywhere you go" is NOT EVERYWHERE there is.
