Why does everybody including the media keep saying they were convicted for shooting a drug smuggler...INCORRECT... they were convicted for lying about it , covering the evidence... disposing of the empty shells.. and filing a false report
.... those are the facts...... they we not convicted on the smugglers evidence.. they were convicted based on the facts....

these agents are the ones that are corrupt... they shot a guy in the back that posed no threat to their lives.. the covered the evidence picked up the shells .. lied about it and wrote a false report about it... they should be in prison as well as the smuggler

@ranimal67 I will be more happy if they can get a new trial and have all the charges removed from their records and go back to work. Jonny Suttons scum bag ass royally screwed these guys lives up.

They received a commuted sentence today!!! Victory! I'm very happy for these, our fellow Americans. In a couple more years they will be eligible for full pardon. I hope they get it and are able to get back to the border to light-up more vermin scurrying across our border.

oh this will certainly set a "great" precedent. Law enforcement can't use their guns now so why the hell are they issued anyway. And judges took the word of a drug smuggler over law enforcement agents. Geeze this sounds like Mexico.

I'm beginning to think there is more to this than meets the eye. I think they are guilty of smuggling drugs into the US but since they could not be convicted of that they were convicted of the lesser unlawful discharge
