People either love or hate Saabs because of their typically quirky design. To the Swedish automaker's credit, it has resisted going mainstream with styling, and for 2006, Saab has refreshed the 9-5 in keeping with the signature look of the brand while adding improved power, sharpened chassis dynamics, and an upgraded interior.

  • Check out the 2010 all new 9-5 Aero, it's smoking hot!

  • Hot center console if we were in 1996. I am a Saab owner (08 9-3) and I am horrified with what GM has done to the one prestigious Swedish brand. Thank god they are selling it.

  • Just FYI the concorde is late 60's ;)

  • I got a 2007 95 1.9 turbo diesel. its nice, understated, more than enough space, massive boot, good on the Ncap safety side of things. Clean and straightforward console, cruise control etc. Hirsch offer a remap service if you want it far quicker. Ultimately if you want a bit of class without essentially showing off, then Saab is for you. Theyre very affordable and democratic, but i still prefer the older ones, before GM took over.

  • To finish....Saabs to me remind me of a nerd at a party over in the corner, quiet and to themselves but the closer you get to them and start talking to them they actually are very attractive and fun. And that's the way I see Saab, unlike the jocks in the room like BMW,Mercedes,Cadillac,Aura and Infiniti that what everyone to know when they are present...lol

  • as kid in the 80s for luxury,if you were'nt driving a Cadillac,Lincoln,BMW,Jaguar,Volvo then you had a Saab this is before any of japaness luxury brands came out, except for Acura which was here in the later 80s. And my mom said it didn't look like anything anway. as a kid Saab were always ugly looking to me,but they have really improved over the years, I would buy 1 now, when you look at the exterior of the car you say that's nice and different but when you get the inside you say what happend.

  • i love saabs no matter what. I dont care what GM did with the brand, theyll still be the same quirky swedish automobiles that i grew up knowing... except for the 9-7 which is a big rolling piece of crap aka chevy trailblazer with a saab badge thrown on it.

  • Am I the only one who thinks this is a really good looking car?

  • @auggles Yes ;great car !

  • tired old saab look? saabs will always look great in my opinion

Save for Sweden,a Saab is a rare bird in the rest of Europe.Quite simply Germans,French,Italians,Spaniards(you name it) don't know what to make of Saab.TheBritish like it for some reason. In Germany more Porsches are sold every year than Saabs

I can't think of any other manafacturer worldwide that is in the Saab niche of building a small number of medium sized "executive cars" and hoping to survive

I do mostly blame my own countrymen for failing to see what sells, thereby killing Saab

Here's what is wrong with Saab. Instead of building the same type of cars that were the foundation of that company, namely small affordable cars that are big sellers all over Europe (and in other new emerging markets too), they are trying to survive by building only 2 models meant for a small niche of buyers who prefer the typical Saab "feeling" in cars. If not for the US market, where Saab has established itself as some "classy brand", Saab would have been dead long ago.
