That's a good question, but I have no idea where they got the tracks. Access to the original tapes could remove the voice tracks, & record their voices over ours. But, because of the cost involved, it's hard to fight. If WTP's songs ever make it into a funky hit movie, then it might be worth it to fight. But, I just have to be proud that someone cares enough to record our music.Thank you again, for expressing your love for it, too. It is truly appreciated... Wayne

@cheapomarx Definitely agree with you.

@bloodypleb Come down to Chicago, man! I'm 18 and I know how you feel.
Then again, Animal Collective's "Merriweather Post Pavilion"-new psychedelic music!

@wethepeople1966 So, what is the meaning of the song?

God i wish i couldve grown up in this era with such experimentation, and were bands required actual skill. Love the song. i was just born about 32 years late...

This version has much more (and better) energy than the CWB version! Chocolate Watchband has elaborate paisley production, but the WTP original is more of a psychedelic rave. Much stronger. Also love the version with Delphine's vocals.

@mybabam ...just wrong mindset!

@wethepeople1966 Wayne, you're my favorite garage songwriter, man ! you can't imagine the influence you have on my own guitar playing, here as a Belgian music lover. i wish i could write such out-of-time tunes like yours...

I was born in Hungary in 1979.....wrong time, wrong place :(

@blacflag I'll side with you on this one, however, if I could, I would have either had one person sing this or grafted the CWB vocals on this version. I think that the CWB is too "produced", although it is still quite good.
Have you heard the "ye-ye" version of this song? It's We the People's with a woman named Delphine singing. It's called, "La fermeture éclair" ("The Zipper"?)
