This homemade equipment that we built for our children has had many benefits, from entertaining a house-bound toddler in the winter to helping both of our children develop physically. Patterns for both the crawling track and and the bracciation ladder can be found in Glenn Doman's books. Hi great video, and I'm a great Glen Doman fan too, but when I read about the size of his brachiation ladder I thought no way, that's just not ever going to fit in my house so I came on line to try and find ideas of how I could make it work and it's great to see this! I think I will attempt to build a smaller version too! Thanks for the inspiration!

Yes, it was the foam pads and the vinyl that made the crawling track expensive. We also had to buy spray glue to attach the foam to the vinyl and the vinyl to the board. The glue was about $18 for a spray bottle, and we used the whole thing. I have heard some people just use elmers glue, but we wanted something more sturdy. Also, the ladder is fairly small and we cut the boards so there was very little waste. The oak dowels were the most expensive part of the ladder. Many people spend $250+.

Very good. I'm a bit surprised that the track cost more than the ladder, but then the ladder doesn't need cushioning and upholstering.
Keep up the good work, and hopefully your kids will love moving for their entire lives.
