Remember people there's a difference between sex and gender. Sex, is anatomical and gender, is you're identity in society. You can be male/female or both and identify with the opposite gender. We all need to lose the hang-ups about what's in our pants and which way we identify; the world would be a much nicer place...

Hey...do we transfolk ever get a copy of this agenda by the way? Because I'm part of the t in lgbt...technically as a transwoman with a wife I'm in the L part too...and I never got the agenda...did I miss that meeting?

Why didn't you join boy scouts? Once your gender identity had changed, why did you not at the very least leave girl scouts? Sounds hypocritical to me.

@HouseMyMy Women's institutions have generally been the most welcoming places for me, trans* men, and other gender variants, as ironic as it sounds. In fact I currently attend a women's college. Also, here are infinite reasons why I would stay in a troop comprised of the friends I'd known my whole life.

I really like your response! Like others have said, I like that you responded so calmly.
I have a general question. I support the LGBTQ community, but unfortunately, I'm not familiar with a lot of the terms used to describe the members of that community. When you say that you're "queer and transmasculine/genderqueer," what does that mean? I've seen those terms before but I don't know what they mean.

@panthergirl1256 A little googling goes a long way, and self education is the purest form of allyship. But if I were to suggest a site, genderqueerid(dot)com is good for the definitions you are seeking.
