Even the BBC have admitted that Jashari wanted to sacrifice himself and his family in order to become a "martyr" and help his cause. If he was a "hero" why did he go to his house, where his family was, and shoot at the police? Did he not think about the safety of his family? Since his goal was to get himself and his family killed (he said it, BBC reported it), he is responsible for provoking and attacking the police. You don't bring the gunfire to your home if you're a safety-oriented person ;)
